Valeni Felton, CEO

Valeni Felton is the Founder of Washington’s Hammer. Valeni understands that the Navy’s industrial base will be limited if it does not encourage the implementation and use of new digital technologies.

Since 2009, Valeni has worked with several nationally recognized marine maintenance firms. In 2013, Valeni graduated from the BAE Systems Ship Repair Apprenticeship Program with honors as a Journeyman Shipfitter. Following commencement, he successfully completed the BAE Systems Superintendent Trainee Program that provided the prerequisites for project management in the ship repair industry.

Valeni holds a B.A. in Political Science/Public Administration from Norfolk State University and a M.Ed in Training and Development from North Carolina State University.

Chana Ruiz-Felton, COO

Chana Ruiz-Felton is the Co-Founder & COO of Washington’s Hammer. Chana understands that security is a critical element in U.S. Naval ship repair. She’s passionate about protecting our customers’ privately held information and she’s made information security a part of Washington’s Hammer’s DNA.

In 2012, Chana entered the law enforcement industry with the City of Norfolk Police Department. After her tenure with the City of Norfolk, Chana joined the City of Chesapeake Police Department. She’s also held positions at a contracting company aimed at securing both government and commercial facilities. Chana’s background in law enforcement & security motivated her to return to school to obtain her master’s degree.

Chana holds a B.S. in Computer Technology from Norfolk State University and a M.S. in Cybersecurity from Liberty University.

Chandler Moisen, CTO

Chandler Moisen is the CTO at Washington’s Hammer. Chandler is a software engineer, product designer, and technology educator with more than 10 years of experience working on high-growth startups in New York City. He has built complex software in the energy, enterprise marketing, education, and health sectors. Chandler is passionate about technology education and has taught foundational web development to hundreds of students since 2014. Chandler graduated from Babson College in 2012.
